Photographing drummers is a serious challenge. The view from the pit is usually obscured by drums, cymbal stands, pipes…even other band members. Taking a page from his playbook as a sports photographer, Mike mounts remote cameras around the drumset to capture the most thrilling in-the-moment shots imaginable—without ever getting in the way of the performance.
